¿Puedes encender la bombilla? / Can you light the light bulb?

Students in Year 5 worked in groups to find a way to encender la bombilla (light the light bulb) using el cable (the wire), la bombilla (the light bulb) and la pila (the battery). They had lots of fun finding out a way and one they did they were very excited to be able to turn the light bulb on!
While doing this, we also discussed about el circuito abierto (the open circuit) and el circuito cerrado (the closed circuit).
