Rueda de colores

[Eng] I just had a blast with today's sessions watching students in grade 5 as they made their stunning colour wheels and listening to their conversations on mixing primary and secondary colours. They all made me sooo proud!!!!!!! This is how we did them:

1) We traced a plate onto the paper and cut it out

2) We folded the circle in half, then half again and then thirds to make 12 equal parts.

3) We painted the primary colours (amarillo, rojo, azul) leaving three blank spaces in between.

4) We mixed the primary colours to get secondary colours (naranja, verde, morado) and used these to paint the spaces in between the primary colours, leaving one empty space on either side.

5) We mixed the primary and secondary colours to make tertiary colours and used them to paint the spaces in between the primary and secondary colours.

6) We used the colours we had mixed to write up "recepies" for mixing colours in our sketchbooks.

[Eng] We have thus started our sketchbook project, a year-long project that's going to bring many more exciting lessons like today's! Sorry you can't hear their conversations, but look at their focused faces as they are mixing the colours!!
