Mola art (part 2)
It's been really exciting this week to start to see some of the mola art finished... grade 5 and 6 students have done an A-M-A-Z-I-N-G job with this, first exploring the Molas, a traditional art form from Panamá, then researching and sketching an animal from Panamá, then decorating it with patterns inside the animal to represent its features and stitching around it with thread, and finally adding the spirals outside the animal (they are so tricky to cut and glue!!). It's been an amazing process to witness from start to and I'm so proud of your work!! I JUST CAN'T BELIEVE HOW GOOD THESE ARE!!!!
