[Eng] It was a beautiful sunny day on Thursday so we grabbed our sketchbooks and set off to the veggie garden to draw some of the plants and objects in detail. Before we left the artroom, we prepared our page by drawing 10 squares or rectangles that would be our windows and where we would do our sketches. The squares helped us focus on the small details in each leaf or flower, look at the patterns in nature, the textures and the colours. Back in the classroom, we coloured our drawings with watercolour pencils. This activity was part of our sketchbook project that grade 5s are doing, learning tricks and techniques that we can use to keep a visual diary.
