Las partes del día / The parts of the day

[Eng] Grade 5 and 6 students have been practising the vocabulary relating to the parts of the day by painting the changing sky against the silhouette of the trees. Students painted four different times of the day on a strip of watercolour paper: la salida del sol (the sunrise), la mañana (the morning), la puesta del sol (the sunset) and la noche (the night). When dry, they made the silhouette of a tree printing foam and then printed it on top of their sky using block ink. The result is absolutely stunning.
