¡Terremotos!

[Sp] Los estudiantes de 5 y 6 están investigando los desastres naturales y en particular uno muy común en los países de Sur América: ¡los terremotos! Los estudiantes desarrollaron su vocabulario a partir de vídeos youtube y artículos del diario (El País). También identificaron las similitudes entre el español y el inglés. Después exploraron las causas de los terremotos mirando las capas de la tierra y identificaron los países más importantes de América Central y América del Sur, dónde el español es una lengua muy común.

[Eng] Grades 5 & 6 are investigating Natural Disasters and in particular a natural disaster very common in South American Spanish speaking countries: Earthquakes! Using youtube videos and spanish newpaper articles (El Pais) they built their vocabulary, identifying at the same time similarities between Spanish and English. They then explored the causes of earthquakes looking at the layers of the earth and identified the main countries in Central and South America, where Spanish is spoken widely.
