El escondite / Hide and seek
[Sp] En la clase de ciencia los estudiantes de 5 y 6 han investigado cómo el color afecta la supervivencia de los seres vivos usando la rutina Predecir, Observar, Explicar. Los estudiantes esparcieron palos de distintos colores (rojo, amarillo y verde) encima de distintas superficies del patio de la escuela (arena, césped y corteza) y se convirtieron en predadores, intentando encontrar tantos palos como les fuera posible en un tiempo determinado. Los estudiantes identificaron la mejor y la peor superficie para la supervivencia de animales de distintos colores y expresaron sus resultados en español.
[Eng] In Science students in grades 5 & 6 have investigated how colour affects the survival of living things using the Predict, Observe, Explain thinking routine. They placed matchsticks of different colours (red, yellow and green) on different surfaces in the school (sand, turf and bark) and assumed the role of predators, trying to find as many matchsticks as possible in a given time. Students identified the best and worst surface for the survival of different colour animals and expressed this in full Spanish sentences.
