[Eng] Students in grade 5 and 6 have been exploring LAS MOLAS, the traditional art from Panamá and Colombia. In this first lesson we researched what animals live in Panamá and students did stunning drawings of their silhouettes on coloured paper. Then, they cut shapes out of bright coloured papers to add some interesting shapes inside the animals. Next week we are going to do the patterns outside the animals inspired by the beautiful embroidery from Panamá (see below). The work the students produced today just blew me away!!! Have a look... they are all so talented!!!! And this is only the beginning! Keep posted for more...
